Mataroa Gin partners with Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos
The cocktail is based on one of Theodorakopoulos’ favourite ingredients, lavender, which is a symbol of femininity, acknowledgement and devotion, according to the brand. The Loving Lavender cocktail has a sweet, smoky smell and a floral, minty taste. “Each cocktail fits in particular circumstances,” said Theodorakopoulos about his idea of a ‘perfect’ cocktail. “Perfection is difficult to achieve. In the Greek language, the word ‘perfect’ (teleios) is similar to the word ‘end’ (telos)”. As well as co-owning a bar, Theodorakopoulos is the ‘mastermind’ behind Bart, a consulting agency for bars.

Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos answers the Mataroa Questionnaire
A. Why do you do this particular job and not any other?
I was bored of the university (laugh). What I love about this job is its creativity and freedom.
B. Name the ingredients of the perfect cocktail.
Each cocktail fits in particular circumstances. Perfection is difficult to achieve. In the Greek
language, the word “perfect” (teleios) is similar to the word “end” (telos).
C. What is your favorite drink/cocktail?
I love Sazerac, Negroni, Whisky Highball and a well balanced Cuba Libre.
D. Which is the ideal Greek vacation place and why?
Greece is a nice destination. If it’s your first time I strongly recommend Athens*, because you can do almost anything and the vibes are super. I also recommend Crete, because it is a big island that combines many things that characterize Greece as a whole.
E. The first 3 words that come to mind when you hear the word Mediterranean.
Food, sun, sea.
