On Saturday, August 24th, 2024, the Mataroa Family meets with the legendary Baba Au Rum team, #25 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, at the award-winning The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, in Costa Navarino, for two spectacular events: the Mataroa “Poolside Affair” at The Romanos Pool and the Mataroa “Sip & Savor Voyage@at the iconic Anax Lounge.
Stars of the day, the premium Mataroa Mediterranean Dry Gin (MDG), the special Mataroa Pink, the brand new Mataroa Happy (low alcohol, enriched with cannabis and damiana) and the exceptional signature creations of Baba Au Rum exclusively for The Romanos.

From early afternoon until around 5 o’ clock, the meeting point is The Romanos Pool and its blissful swim-up bar where guests will savor refreshing drinks and special Mataroa Gin cocktails by the Baba Au Rum mixologists, along with a Mataroa Pool Menu proposition by The Romanos acclaimed culinary team.
- Mataroa “Sip & Savor Voyage” from 7.30pm at Anax Lounge
The Romanos mixologists join forces with the Baba Au Rum team at the chic Anax Lounge for a sophisticated pairing of innovation and taste. Three signature cocktails, based on each of the three Mataroas, draw inspiration from the distinct ambience of Costa Navarino and the region’s culinary treasures such as grapes, raisins, figs, citrus fruits, mountain tea from Taygetos, honey, aromatic herbs such as lavender and rosemary, and promise to elevate the uniqueness of Mataroa’s secret recipe creating explosive combinations. Guests will also savor an elite Mataroa-inspired finger food menu, while appreciating the most sensational Ionian Sea sunset.
